Aboriginal homosexual and trans people have said that the petition delivered by a group of Indigenous Australians to Parliament on Thursday that purports all Aboriginal people disagree with same-sex marriage, does not speak for them. Their petition says it is “an affront to the Aboriginal People of Australia to suggest another definition of marriage”.
But at the other end of the spectrum are Aboriginal supporters of same sex marriage, including LGBTI indigenous people—like writer Dameyon Boyson.
